Product Update: BIM 360 + Closeout Two-Way Sync
April 1, 2021
Maintaining your single source of truth is a fundamental step toward reducing project risk and litigation due to missed or incomplete project requirements. Your project management software is that single source of truth in construction, and therefore it is critical that every other platform in your tech stack have a robust two-way-sync to share data and keep everyone working with the most up to date information. The recent update to Pype Closeout upgrades our existing import integration with BIM 360 to a robust two-way sync and single-sign-on (SSO) API integration, closing the workflow gap and helping project teams protect their project.
REQUEST A DEMOBIM 360 + Pype Closeout Sync
Users can start their workflow in either platform, importing contacts and submittal requirements from BIM 360 to Pype Closeout, or using Closeout to extract submittal requirements from your specs before backing up your data to BIM 360. As documents and attachments are received, project teams can choose to sync them back and forth from Closeout to BIM 360 , ensuring they stay attached to the relevant submittal. After your documents have been approved, they can be compiled in Pype Closeout, where users can also import any remaining documents in BIM 360 directly to their turnover package.
Single Sign On
Users can now sign in to Pype Closeout using their BIM 360 credentials. Not only does this mean one less log-in for users to remember, but access to BIM 360 projects are automatically synced between accounts. Project members in Closeout will only be able to see the BIM 360 projects they have BIM 360 access to when they go to sync, helping them find the data they need when working in Closeout without additional set up.
