Pype Wins ConTech March Madness 2020
April 14, 2020
We’ve all had to find something to fill the void that the cancelled NCAA March Madness left behind. In light of this, and to bring some friendly rivalry to the construction technology space, the Director of BIM/VDC at Sanveo decided to take matters into their own hands and put together a ConTech March Madness bracket on LinkedIn.
Over the course of two weeks, 32 small to mid-size construction tech companies courted votes from their user base, industry advocates, and employees to advance through five rounds of head-to-head competition. Several matches were won by a single vote, and the competition was fierce with so many great players. In the end, for the final round and title of ConTech March Madness Champion, it came down to Rhumbix and Pype.
After a long weekend of voting and virtual Easter dinners, the winner was announced at noon on Monday, April 13th. With 287 votes, Pype pulled out ahead of Rhumbix’s 88 votes, and took the title.
“Pype is honored to be a trusted construction technology partner by so many contractors and builders, and we want to thank each of them for voting for us throughout this bracket,” Pype CEO Sunil Dorairajan said. “However, the real spotlight of this competition shines on the innovators across the entire industry who have tackled problem after problem, inefficiency after inefficiency, in every area of construction in order to provide much needed technologies to our industry.”
The NCAA did not return our request for comment.
