Based on valuable customer feedback, Admin-level Closeout users will now have access to the brand-new “Role Management” feature from within the Company Administration page. This feature enables project teams to create, adjust, and assign roles to their team members, with each role containing specific permissions. In short, administrators can quickly and easily grant team members different levels of access to different features and pages by assigning them a corresponding role.
To get users started with this new feature, we’ve included a number of default roles that administrators can assign, including General Contractor, Subcontractor, Architect, Owner, Read-Only, and more. Each of these have pre-customized permissions tailored to the role, but administrators can also adjust these pre-packaged roles to suit the specific needs of individual project teams.
Additionally, users can create entirely new roles. Clicking the “Add New Role” button will prompt users to name the role, give a brief description, and select an existing role as a starting point for permissions. Once created, the user simply customizes the new role by turning on or off access to different screens within Pype Closeout, and then turning off different features and abilities within each activated screen. In this way, administrators can build out a new role’s permissions from the ground-up the same way they adjust permissions for existing roles.
